Author Biography – Mike Mentzer
Mike Mentzer was much more than just a bodybuilder. He was a philosopher and a student of logic. He became famous in the 1970s and was the first person ever to get a perfect score in the Mr. Universe contest. While most people were training for hours every day, Mike realized that “more” is not always “better.” He developed the High-Intensity Training (HIT) system, which focused on brief but very intense workouts. Mike was a deep thinker who studied the works of Ayn Rand, and he applied those logical principles to fitness.
