A Soul in Pieces

After the events Under the Mountain, Feyre returns to the Spring Court. But she is not the same girl she was. She is haunted by what she had to do to save Tamlin. While the Spring Court feels like a prison, she struggles with her new Fae body and the trauma of her past.

The Bargain with the Night Court

Rhysand, the feared High Lord of the Night Court, comes to collect on the bargain they made. Feyre is whisked away to a land of stars and darkness. There, she discovers that the Night Court is not the den of evil she was told it was. She finds a city called Velaris, a place of beauty, art, and true freedom.

Rising Against the King

A greater threat is coming from the King of Hybern, who wants to tear down the wall between humans and Fae. Feyre must learn to harness her immense powers and decide where her loyalty truly lies. It is a journey of self-discovery, spice, and epic battles that leads to a shocking conclusion.

Babar Raja’s Personal Review

Reading this on a ship from Oslo to Copenhagen

I read this book while traveling on a ship from Oslo to Copenhagen. Looking out at the dark, starry waters of the Baltic Sea made the Night Court feel so real. Let me share how it felt…

When I was reading the “Chapter 54” moment where Rhysand explains his side of the story, this part of the book really got to me. I was sitting on the deck with the cold wind in my face, and I actually felt my heart racing. It is one of the most beautiful pieces of writing I have ever encountered in a fantasy novel.

It took me 7 nights to finish it. I would read about 90 pages every night. Even though the ship had many distractions, I preferred to stay in my cabin and finish “just one more chapter.” The way Sarah builds the tension is just incredible.

This book connected with me because it talks about how sometimes the people we think are the “villains” are actually the ones who save us. Traveling teaches you that first impressions are often wrong, and this book proves that perfectly. My honest rating: 4.9/5.

What I Learned From This Book

I learned that you cannot heal in the same environment that made you sick. Feyre had to leave the Spring Court to find her strength. It taught me that it is okay to walk away from things that no longer serve your growth, even if they once felt like safety. This book is a powerful lesson in choosing yourself and finding a “court” that treats you like an equal, not a prize to be kept in a cage.
